A Taste of Missionary Love?

A Taste of Missionary Love?

A Taste of Missionary Love "Modern Israel is without faith in Yeshua (Jesus) and has no relationship to God.  Israel is back in the land for judgment, in preparation for the Great Tribulation...Giving money to houses of prostitution does not bless the prostitute, and giving money to build Israel's anti-Christ Judaism or secular society is not blessing Israel, especially if God has purposed to withhold His dew and blessings from an Israel that continues to ignore His Son, the only way, truth and

Genesis 49:10

Genesis 49:10

“The staff shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet  until Shiloh arrives, and his will be an  assembly of nations.” – Genesis 49:10 Missionaries quote this verse in an effort to prove the  alleged messiah-ship of Jesus. (JTA) -- The Shabbat morning service at Congregation Sha’arei Shalom in this suburb of Raleigh has a familiar feel to anyone who grew up in a mainstream American synagogue. Sixty adults and a handful of children have gathered in a sanctuary adorned with seven-branched menorahs and an Israeli flag. Many of the men wear yarmulkes and tallitot; the women are dressy but no

The True Believer by Eric Hoffer

The True Believer by Eric Hoffer

In this excerpt from the Eric Hoffer's book, The True Believer, we are given insights into some of the sources of missionary  zeal. Whence comes the impulse to proselytize? Intensity of conviction is not the main factor which impels a movement to spread its faith to the four corners of the earth: 'religions of great intensity often confine themselves to condemning, destroying, or at best pitying what is not themselves." Nor is the impulse to proselytize an expression of an overabundance of pow
